DEPARTURES
Sarah Goetz (graduate student in Biology, Frank Conlon's lab) successfully defended her doctoral research March 23. Sarah will be joining the laboratory of Kathryn Anderson (Sloan Kettering Institute) as a post-doctoral fellow.
Folami Ideraabdullah (graduate student in the Genetics and Molecular Biology Curriculum, Fernando Pardo-Manuel de Villena’s lab) successfully defended her doctoral research 04/04/07 entitled “The Genetic Architecture of the DDK Syndrome: An Early Embryonic Lethal Phenotype in the Mouse”. Folami will be joining the laboratory of Marissa Bartolomei (Univ. of Pennsylvania) as a post-doctoral researcher to work on genomic imprinting.
Nate Montgomery (graduate student in the Genetics and Molecular Biology Curriculum, Terry Magnuson’s lab) successfully defended his doctoral research on March 28. Nate will be attending medical school at UNC-Chapel Hill in the fall of 2007.
Mehul Suthar (graduate student in Microbiology and Immunology, Mark Heise's lab) has successfully defended his doctoral research on February 27 and will be joining Michael Gale's laboratory at UT Southwestern as a post-doctoral researcher.
